About Barry Fit
As far back as I can remember, I have been exercising in many different ways to become a better athlete and a healthier person. When I was in my 20s, exercise was more about becoming a better athlete in all of the sports I played. As I entered my 30s and 40s, exercise became a different thing altogether. It became more about healthy aging, as I saw clearly that it was helping me and others to age more gracefully. I also became aware of the difficulties of aging, including lasting effects from the injuries I sustained over the years, as well as muscle loss that people face as they age. As a result, I had to modify my training and nutrition to compensate for the fitness challenges that my clients and I face as we get older.
Over the years, I have trained many individuals of different fitness levels and enjoyed helping them get healthier. With the technological advances that have emerged through the Internet, I can help even more people than I was ever able to help before through one-on-one training in person. My training methods are a little different, with most methods having been tested on myself and others over the years, yielding lasting success. My greatest goal is to help people with very little fitness acumen, who don’t know where to start, and get them to fall in love with the art of training. I want to give them the fitness basics that can carry them through the rest of their lives.
Many people around the world are losing the fight against many chronic diseases, including diabetes, arthritis, obesity, and several auto-immune disorders. I decided to make my fitness wisdom available to anyone who wants to replace what isn't working. It is my desire to help anyone, at any fitness level, who just wants to feel better and change their health once and for all. Your life need not remain on the same course. You can change it now.
I realize that many personal trainers out there don't understand fitness as it relates to aging and maintaining health. There are injuries and other deeper issues going on with aging clients that a personal trainer may not fully understand. The reason I have done well with these issues is that I personally tore my rotator cuff playing baseball when I was 14, and it never fully recovered. I understand how to work with and around injuries that never fully go away, but life must go on. I also live with a great deal of joint pain from playing football and other sports for many years. I give real advice shaped by experience so you can continue to work out when it comes to training daily and dealing with these aging and injury issues. The goal here is to keep you in the game, in spite of the real-life issues we all may face. If we stop doing anything and sit on the couch, the pain can get much worse. We must continue on and learn all we can about our health and fitness to have a more enjoyable life.
Here, you will find the truth about fitness, not the huge amount of misinformation running rampant online from people who really don't understand health and fitness. You can waste a lot of money and time listening to people who have no business talking about fitness. Many of them have never even done what they are teaching, so you wind up getting nowhere with their advice. My goal is to get you started in the right direction without wasting your time with things that will never work. Developing fitness and health is not as difficult as many people try to make it out to be, and it can take much less time to achieve than many trainers would like you to believe. My goal is to take you on a fun and less-difficult fitness journey so you can start to enjoy what may have been drudgery in the past. The way you see your health and fitness is about to change, so let’s get started together on that journey today with private personal training.
